Group Percy KnolleThe group of Professor Dr. Percy Knolle focuses on the local immune regulation in the liver. By studying the immunobiology of liver sinosoidal endothelial cells (LSEC), the group addresses the question how the liver fulfils its task of balancing the induction of immune tolerance rather than immunity and at the same time allowing efficient immune responses against pathogens. |

Group Elmar EndlThe group of Dr. Elmar Endl runs the Flow Cytometry Core Facility. In addition, research on nanobiotechnology and its therapeutical applications is performed. |

Group Andreas LimmerThe group analyses the control of local and systemic immune responses. In particular, CD8 T cell immunity is under investigation. A special focus lies on CD8 T cell responses against systemic infections and self-proteins in the spleen. |
