Symposium on Maternal Immunology and Health

On July 7–8, 2025, the Institute of Molecular Medicine and Experimental Immunology (IMMEI) hosted the MaternImmune: Connecting Immunology and Maternal Health symposium in Bonn.

The event brought together clinical and scientific experts from the University Hospital Bonn and a visiting delegation from the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

Prof. Veronika Lukacs-Kornek from the IMMEI and Prof. Jie Qin from Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were the driving forces behind the symposium.

Over two days, participants engaged in scientific presentations, tours of clinical and research facilities, and a roundtable discussion on collaborative approaches in maternal health and immunology. We sincerely thank all guests for their inspiring contributions and look forward to strengthening this partnership through future joint projects.
